Yokoko are a five piece band that are located in London.   They’ve just sent me this 3 song demo for review /consideration.   After a couple of listens I am not that sure about the band.  There is nothing glaringly bad about the sunshine indiepop contained within – indeed ‘Sally Doesn’t Care’ bounces along nice enough but it never really gets beyond ‘reasonable’.  And that is the strongest of the three songs that are on offer here.   The band are obviously in the early stages of their musical development and as demo’s go it’s better than most I receive – which is something to be happy about – but saying that, I am hardly wowed by the band and their songs.  I know they’ve played a few London shows recently and have more lined up – they wouldn’t put me off going to a night if they were on the bill – but I won’t be snapping your hand off for a ticket either.
